SAINT-DENIS, France (AP) — Sha'Carri Richardson's comeback story hit a brick wall Saturday when Julien Alfred romped in the rain to the 100-meter title at the Prefontaine Classic.

Richardson, the American sprinter whose Tokyo Olympic dreams were dashed after a positive marijuana test, finished outside the medals in seventh place. Julien Alfred of Saint Lucia won the race in a time of 10.82 seconds, while Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce of Jamaica took silver in 10.84 seconds and Shericka Jackson of Jamaica earned bronze in 10.86 seconds.
