Landon Donovan: American Soccer Legend
Early Life and Career
Landon Timothy Donovan was born on March 4, 1982, in Ontario, California. He began playing soccer at a young age and quickly showcased his exceptional talent. In 1999, at the age of 17, he signed with Bayer Leverkusen of the German Bundesliga.
International Career
Donovan earned his first cap for the United States men's national team in 2000 and went on to become one of its most decorated players. He captained the team from 2008 to 2012 and led them to numerous achievements, including the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup title and appearances in the 2002, 2006, and 2010 FIFA World Cups.
